Now that I have facebook my blog is sad :( I can type a few lines and upload a cple of pics and be good for facebook...on blogging I feel there should b more and Im tired :(....Lindsey is now on her regular squad PLUS the older squad of 16+ yr olds because of her tumbling and stunting abilities so we are @ practice 4 plus nights a week....I have a new angel in daycare (Justin boot rep's son) so Im super busy! However...all is good and all are well in our happy lil familia and ..."I could not ask for more" :) Cheer will be over for GOOD April 17th as we say goodbye and move on to DRAMA and acting (no suprise there) and hopefully a laid back safe summer with lots of boating.
We had a scare that my sweetheart may have to go to work in South Korea but that was squashed and now just the possibility of layoff :( SCARIER!!!! But God has always helped us help ourselves...and he will prevail once again! I have faith in my Lord. So as soon as I ahve some "new and noteworthy" blog topics.... I will ut them on facebook HAHAHA!

Not too much going on....we don't have Lindsey this Spring Break so we're just chilling at home with Kaleigh. This weekend we went to Waco and had dinner @ Logan's with Jason, Jennifer, Bailey (their oldest) and Devon (soooo cute), Donna, Rob and Mama too. Then we all went back to Mama's and just relaxed an got caught up. It was so nice to see him again after so long, I've missed him so much! We already have another get together planned, I can't wait for him to see our casa!!!!!

We had the biggest cheer competition in Texas last weekend ~ over 600 squads.

On day 1 we placed 9th out of 21 squads...

On day 2 we placed 14th :(

Not so good ~ BUT they gave 100% and you cannot ask for more!

Thats always a good time and then Friday night they joined us for my sweeties homemade chili, crazy wings, queso, shrimp cocktail and RITA'S...and we all watched Couples Retreat in front of a nice cozy fire! When you're snowed in (literally) ~ who says you can't have a GREAT time!!!!!

Alrighty good people....here it is! Our North Texas Blizzard! It started early Thursday morning and didn't stop till 2am Friday morning! Unbelievable is the one and only word for this craziness and I haven't blogged till today cuz we've been PLAYING in it!!!!! I'll have to do several posts because there's just so many pic's. All in all, we got a foot of snow...wet and powdery! And man did we make the most of it...so ENJOY the show!

Had a date night with my sweetheart this weekend...I love him so much! We went to Pappadaeux's and shared some good ole oyster's ~ drinks and dinner and then headed out to see The Edge of Darkness...it was good but disturbing to know these things go on under our noses! Having Lindsey to babysit is the coolest....get em a pizza and some movies and they're set...SO FAR SO GOOD.. This is twice and hopefully will continue till she starts dating ~YIKES!

So J and I haven't been "out" since before Thanksgiving and thats like Wolf Brand Chili.....way too long!!!! So we decided, as we usually do, on something different. We chose The Melting Pot in Grapevine which is all served Fondue! It was CRAZY cool and even more delicious! We began with a Cheese Fondue appetizer with breads, veggies, and apples ~ YUM. Next was salad, Then the main coarse....of shrimp, lobster tail, bratwurst, chicken, and two different cuts of steak set to fondue in a Carribean Rue called Mojo style. Just when we started to unbutton the top button on our jeans (JK) out came our Fondue dessert!!!! This blew my pants off and I ran around naked the rest of the nite ;0 hahahah!!!! Banana's Foster in white chocolate fondue with a a platter of cheesecake, strawberries, marshmellows, rice crispy treats, and pound cake......THE WHITE CHOCOLATE FONDUE WAS ASTRONOMICAL!!!! Dont plan on doing anything else afterward but going home and putting on the largest sweatpants you own.

Two GREAT BIG thumbs up from us!!!! Definately a cozy romantic atmosphere, you can dress up or down, take the kiddos or leave em (ours babysat!!!). We will be going back!

Ok ya'll...my cute little adorable dog is getting out of hand. He's soooooo bad that I seriously need Cesar Milan! I crate him - he barks AND WONT STOP (not whining....barking) that's bad because babies cant sleep. I let him outside he does his business...comes in and five minutes later has an accident. He's showing aggression (IE....biting at my pants leg, some serious tug of war with anything...) and that scares me because of my angels. Miranda.....I need help! I've never had a little dog and at this rate Im close to mailing him to Shelly!!!!!!! He's soooooo getting NOT cute anymore :( Any advise? I crate him almost 7 full hours with potty breaks.

I didn't post pic's of the girls opening presents because.....one thing I wanted to do this year was go to church on Christmas Eve. That didn't get to happen because DFW was shut down from ice and snow. It is a New Year's Resolution to get the girls more involved in church again. We have tried several churches in our area and none come close to Bro. and Mrs. Collier and Bro. Steve and Tawana. When we lived at home we didn't miss and that being Jason's 1st real church home (Bro. Steve baptized Jason and Lindsey!!! ~ it was a joke that Bro. Collier wouldn't have been able to get Jason back up!!!!).....we just cant find another home that measures up :( I know, I know...."God doesn't care which church you go to, as long as you show up".....but we truly loved Parkview and it's the only church home I've ever known.

But these past few Christmases have been all about toys and not enough about our precious Lord, or our MANY blessings, or giving to those in need ~ but it's a NEW YEAR! I'm looking forward to bringing these 3 things to the front of the priority list again :)

You know, as I soon become the mother of a teen I worry that pictures of childhood innocence will become boring, very shortly. So I played dress up with my sweet angels and away to the portrait studio we went.....and how special these "pre teen' pictures will forever be to my heart. Lindsey is growing into a young lady so fast and Kaleigh is fast on her heels....(tear!). It was so fun and there are more pic's to come. But when they're all grown up the pictures and memories are what we have to remember and boy did we make memories today ;)

But he did like it...like I thought he would...I found it and thought he would look sooooo hot driving it ~ A New Jeep CJ7 with some sweet tires! And boy does he ever look H~O~T! But he looked hot in the K5 too...the men really loved that piece! It has one other GREAT feature...it'll pull the boat...yeah!!!!!

Well, there is good news and bad news about my Christmas decorations this year Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations…The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder and almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard. Kind of feel like I gave in to the man by taking him down but my neighbor did confirm two near miss accidents on the busy street next to my house. I think I made him too real this time So it was fun while it lasted

Baby puppy woes, sighhhhhhhhhhhhh

Lil Bit's a handful, that's for sure and house breaking a puppy just as winter sets in is no walk in the park. For starters I keep a clean house and wet dogs equal messy floors. Therefore, I'm going over my floors 2 to 3 times a day...Woody can hold it pretty good but since Lil Bit's bladder in the size of a pea ~ He obviously cannot! But this "little dog" ownership is pretty cool, despite the tired. He's cute and cuddly and oh so very sweet. I took him to Petsmart on Saturday and I bet 15 people had to hold him! I was looking for a sweater but no such luck, all too big :( I dont want anything gay or frou frou...my dogs a boy and I want him to look like a boy I just cant find anything small enough.

One of life's treasures is my Aunt Teatle (name is a long story)...She took me everywhere just like I was one of her own. I stayed with her for weeks on end in the summers. She even gave me my 1st job. Some of my best memories are with her, Mamaw, Miranda, and Shelly :) Once she made a cake....and to this day my family and most especially my daughters and hubby LOVE IT! And I love my Auntie :) We will be by to see you this weekend!

So here it is for everyone to enjoy!

1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix

4 eggs

1/2 cup oil

1 big 12oz, I think, can of mandarin oranges with juice

Add all ingredients and mix well. Bake @ 325 in two floured round cake pans till golden brown. LET COOL.

Icing

1 large tub cool whip

1 box vanilla instant pudding mix

1 large can crushed pineapple with the juice

Mix this together and ice the cake. Put lots in between the layers...there will be plenty for the kiddos after!

If possible make the night before and leave in the fridge to get cold!

And now Im off to devil the king's ransom worth of eggs and make my little Kuntry Bumpkin, Ellie May, I mean, Kaleigh, some pea salad for dinner tomorrow!

Well after driving to Southlake 3-4 times per week ~ UHG! We started off this competition season with a bang! 3rd Place out of many teams, which for our coach was NOT good enough! But thats ok cuz our girls are DARN GOOD! Lindsey has five full out tumbling passes thru a 2 minute routine which consist of round off back handrprings, back tucks, walk over's, punch fronts (which is front flip in the air....and more.... she is quite the powerhouse!!!! Check out that pretty mouth full of METAL! No vacation for a while :( Next competition is this Sunday at Tx Women's Univ. My professional pics wont come in for a few weeks yet, but they're worth the wait I promise ;) She looks GREAT this year with some killer 6 pack abs! She also received ATHLETE OF THE MONTH! Which we are very proud of! I'm so lucky and blessed to have such beautiful and talented girls!

The Office (AKA Workout Room)

I started a month ago on my office / workout room but things took a bad turn. We broke the elliptical machine and since I didn't pay that much for it...we decided not replace it right now.

I have finished the room and to me it looks great, may not be everyone's taste, but I sure ;ove the colors. I refinished the desk and painted it. Added new hardware...etc, etc. Since I have 2 businesses to run, staying organized is essential. Plus I scrapbook, as you can tell from the tower in the corner.

Now that I don't have a workout room I decided to join Lady of America Fitness. Two reasons....Zumba (look it up ~ it's a FREAKIN GOOD TIME) and NO MEN. Now that I have a fairly nice set of tah-tah's I hate it when men stare. That is not the reason I fixed them, to get stared at!!!! But I don't have to worry about it here. By BMI is ideal for my 5'7 frame...weighing in at 133 lbs....Woooohoooo!

My sweetie has not had a day off in a month, poor baby! So when he does...what does he do??? Looks at me and says..."what needs to be done, Baby"?

This weekend he put together a new media stand and mounted the flat screen to it and changed out our cheapy builder grade sink to a granite one! Not to mention, he got a smokin' deal! It was normally $350 at Home Depot on sale for $249 ~ Labor Day Blow out....when we got to the register he told the clerk "The sign says it's 20% off".... so she took ANOTHER $50 off making the final cost $200!!!!!!!!!!!! That's C*R*A*Z*Y!!!!!!!

He really does work so hard and then comes home and never neglects us or what needs to be done. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have the best husband in the world!

CRAZY but routine....

Not too much going on right now...just getting settled in to the routine of school and extra curricular activities.....looks like we can add middle school tennis to our ever so hectic schedule...Linz is pretty darn good. She will also be going out for the elite squad for her competition cheer team, that means Florida / Disney World and ESPN! Our days are full ~ whew....

My workout room turned into an office and it's done. I will post pics soon, Here is a super cute one I found of the girls while scrapping the other night!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day weekend! We are staying home to rest :)

If it involves water, my girls hit the door running! They crack me up! This is The Saginaw Recreation Center and they have a pool with a big water slide (big to the kids that is). It's super cheap to go and I get a nice break to layout....nap....and read. When they get this age they only need you for $$$ for icecream! :( But it's ok, rest is a good thing!

I am still working on my workout / office room. I can only do a little at a time, hence the sneak peaks, Miranda! Trying to get the girls birthdays x 2 (Kaleigh 7/21 and Linz 8/27), school supplies x 2, and school clothes x 2...plus run a daycare and do all the machine shop paperwork, throw in karate 2 nites a week and cheer 2 nites a week doesn't leave me much time to decorate.

I have ordered curtains and bought shelves so as soon as I get those up I will post new pics. Oh and on top of it all, helping my friend organize her house and paint before her baby girl gets here in October!!!

K....so our 4th bedroom is now the workout room! Try moving exercise equipment up a turning staircase!!! My hubby is not happy :/ However painting stripes is totally cool! I love brown and blue together, so I decided to give it a whirl and I love it! I'm not finished yet, but here's a sneak peak....the colors make me want to go on vacation to someplace tropical.

If you ever try and do horizontal stripes, spend the extra $15 and buy a LASER LEVEL. It is a priceless tool to own if you love to decorate!

Watching fireworks on the roof! We can see all the area fireworks, big and small. HOWEVER ~ after 4 MARGARITAS I had no business being on the roof!!!! Kids were perfectly fine.....Mom, not so much :) No, I didn't fall off.

On Saturday our "Chosen Family" invited us back to their communities fireworks display...put on by ONE man (this year he had a pyrotechnics team and his FORMAL commercial fireworks license ~ WOW)! Paid for by ONE man!!! This my friends comes out of his pocket, for his friends, and I am honored that we get invited. Lance and Krista hosted a ton of family and friends, lots of good food and as always GREAT FUN! It was soooo good to see Mary and Danny and my sweet Chelsea is grown...O~M~G!!!! She even took my car....OMG again! I found my chicken, thank GOD, it's the best bbq dry rubbed chicken found on earth and when I started I had 7 pieces on my plate! I was swattin' hands off of it like flies! Ya'll.... this show was as big and longer than the ones put on by the cities....and set to music too!

So.... Last Friday nite we had date nite with our neighbors and decided to take the kiddos. We went to Samurai Bistro for a hibachi dinner, which Kaleigh LOVES!!!! Then we went to the Harkins Theater in Southlake to see Transformers Two ~ Revenge of the Fallen. That place was so BIG, they actually had "Guest Services"!!! I still can't get over Daniel and his popcorn after that HUGE meal! I had so much fun!!! Thanks guys!

Our Home

Like any husband and wife....I think....you are proud of your first real home that you OWN. It seemed like a long, hard road for Jason and I but building our home from scratch was so wonderful in so many ways...and we are just that.....PROUD of it! It's been a little over a year and slowly but surely we have been able to do updates here and there. One of my fav's is the "front porch" complete with rocking chairs to watch our children grow and play and eat ice cream from the ice cream truck! We are so lucky to have the best neighbors in the world who over this year I grown to think of them as TRUE FAMILY. We would do anything for them and they to for us, what a blessing. Here are a few pic's of updates...I'm super proud of the front landscaping and Jason hard wired the lights himself, complete with proper buried cables. It looks so nice and so many couples from our subdivision have stopped us to compliment on how nice the house looks at night!!! My heart is full pride, mostly for my sweet hubs who works hard so is ladies have it so nice :) I love you, sweetheart!

For those who know me well... my alter ego is Sara Evans. I love this woman and have been told and asked by countless people that I look like her or "do you know you look like Sara Evans?". Somedays I see it, somedays I don't. Well, Sea World hosted "Bud and BBQ" weekend while we were there and a Sara Evans concert!!!!! All included with your pass. Now, while I do love King George.....King George doth not sing Bluegrass....Sara Evans and her two sisters who happen to be her back up singers DOES!!!!!! When you take girls who have been singing together since BIRTH usually you get perfection and they were 10 stars above perfection. Acapella (no instruments) just their sweet harmony hi and low and bone chilling beautiful BLUEGRASS! This was a phenomenal birthday present and she put on a great concert!

Linz had a competition in San Antonio on the weekend of May 1st. Literally the night before we left...it was cancelled due to swine flu. That gave us an extra day at Sea World. I'm not sure why but our girls LOVE it there!

I know it's out of order...just bear with me while I get back in the habit :)

Our Memorial Weekend was really relaxing, done on purpose. We had several invites but weren't able to go due to either weather conflicts, car conflicts, or babysitting conflicts. It rained everyday but when life gives you rain ~ Dance In It!

My fantastic cook of a hubby stood in the rain, at "the pit" all day! His ribs were fall off the bone good! Beans, and potato salad and pitchers of margaritas (none for Ms Daina :( and Texas Hold Em till morning! We had such a good time ~ tho I STINK @ Tx Hold Em!

Summer is almost here and this year I can't wait, it's usually the opposite because I always have 10 extra kids and work 12 hours a day. This year I'm cutting back!!!! YES!!!! Just 1 extra for now, but Dakota is 2 and has been w/me since 6weeks so he is 1 of my own. Since March we have been busy, busy, busy....end of the year school projects, cheer banquet, San Antonio, house updates ;), wrecked my car ~ UHGGGGG, Memorial Day, blah...blah, blah. So here are a few pics, sorry I suck so bad at blogging!

House Update

Slowly but surely the house is coming back! I will post new pics soon! I didn't like the landscaping so I hired someone else. The paint is gorgeous!!!! It TRULY transformed this entire house! Curtains come in tonight and couch will be Sat 4/4! Lindsey's room is under construction, AGAIN. The girl is never satisfied! The porch looks fantastic!

Dear Lord keep her safe....said over and over and over and over and over......Maddie, Lindsey, and Amy went to the movies alone for the 1st time Saturday 3/7/2009. Only a mother that's lived to tell about it knows how very difficult it was to drop my baby off and NOT go in and hide....to simply love and trust, oh and hand her $30 bucks too. All for MALL COP! Really!!!?!!!?!!!?!! The ladies in Home Depot (next door to the movies :) kept asking, " Ma'am are you ok?" Crying as I shopped to waste time......We remember the moments......

Little miss Diva (Kaleigh) got really sick Thursday morning, so no sleep over and no quiet house. Poor sweetie threw up so much and high, high fever! Painters are gone and NOW after the throw up, the carpets are clean too. This is all I can manage for the moment since "the big house on Molasses" is still turned completely upside down, it's like we're moving in again ~ having to put everything back up and essentially decorate again....the house looks great and here's a sneak peak.....

Well, good grief and darn I'm tired. Lotta work going on around here and messing up my schedule w/my young uns'!!!!! But it will be worth it in the end. Landscaping is done and we are still paint progress. I added more rooms, might as well get the girl's done b4 summer and then I can relax and head out for the water. My sweetie bought me the new sony cybershot touch screen camera (he wanted me to think that all I got for valentines day was a washer and dryer ~ol sneaky pete!!!) so look for new and improved photos to come! Stay tuned for more b4 and after pics.....all should be quiet this weekend, both girls will be gone so I can take pics and post.

Oh! and by the way....I went blonde (or lots of highlights) and I dont think I like it too well!

THEY'RE HEEEERRRRREEEEE!!!!!! OMG!!! Normally appliances aren't allowed as Valentines gifts, but since mine weren't broke, I'll let it slide! Excited just doesn't cover it! We have started to transform our house, kinda went out of order but it's cheaper to do a pergola in the fall and contractors are booked till then anyway, so movin on....

The new LG washer and dryer is da bomb! Wash and dry 30 minutes flat! I painted the laundry room Saturday b4 cheer competition and the washer/dryer came the next day! I was highly motivated ~ these things are tall with the pedastels under them, so it would've been hard to paint with them already in.

New foyer chandelier is up and beautiful and landscapers for the front come today! Paint is booked for March 7 & 8, woohoo can't wait!

Furniture comes in after that!

The Real Housewives of Orange County

OK. Everybody has their reality tv show they are addicted to for some reason or another. Miranda's is Jon & Kate + 8, Shell's is The Bachelor (ette). I love, Love, LOVE Bravo TV's The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gretchen Rossi is my fav! That woman is BEAUTIFUL beyond words, inside and out! I also love The Girls Next Door and I am bracing myself for it to end 4ever, but all good things must end. I think the reason I like the real housewives so much is that, as I am sure most of us do, I wish I didn't have to work and could spend my days with my daughters and working out and keeping myself nice as oppossed to running 90 to nuthin sometimes on nuthin! But that's why they put that stuff on tv ~ right! Or maybe it is.... just to torment us!

Angel Baby News ~ JJ's expecting!

So last week I found out that my sweetest friend on earth is expecting! Man something must be in the water, there are babies EVERYWHERE! So she comes to visit today and her 5 yr old son steps up on the porch, hands on his hips, chest out chin high, and states..."My mommy has a baby in her belly and I'm gonna be a great big brother", quite matter of factly! It was so cute! Congrats to the Torres family! I'm gonna have to teach her to blog. I'm still prayin for you Miranda!

Not much going on (no cheer competitions till Feb 21st), Thank the LORD!!! Sometimes it gets so hectic that my head just spins! Jason is working a lot of extra hours so that we can finally decorate....and I mean do it right! We spent our money on sq footage so we didn't have much left over for new furniture and such. The time has now come, yeah!!! Here is a list of list of our priorities...
1. backyard upgrade / pergola and travertine patio, grill island and bar!
2. entire house painted including 24 ft ceilings!
3. curtains thru out
4. new living room furniture / flat panel tv / new decor
5. new master suite furniture
6. new landscaping in the front w/pavestones
7. new tango red front load washer and dryer

So, here's to you Shelly, since you love to decorate (so do I!!!!). I've had to wait and now it's time! Yipppeeeeeee!!!!! Will have b4 and after pics later to post!

Let me tell you, for those who might be interested, the Gaylord ICE...BITES!!!! It cost over $100 to get in, to be way over crowded, and FROZE TO DEATH! Poor Mama (no meat on her bones) had to leave 1/2 way thru, she couldn't take it! The girls made it thru the ice slide and then started crying and the tears froze! But I thought this was a SUPER cute "mommy and me" pic! Am I too old for that????NAHHHH!

I am so very proud of this little lady! On top of having practice every nite she also had her 1st finals in school! On January 17th at the Fort Worth Convention Center her squad took the National Championship! Congrats to all of the Untied Allstars! OTOFOM!!!!! Since both my computers crashed in early OCTOBER, I am just now back up and running! I will have new pics and updated stories to share! Linz is also back in Competition Cheer (we just thought we were getting that 2009 Camaro ~ poor Jason) which means practice in Southlake 3 to 4 times a week and several competitions!!! That's ok tho, my new love is "Charming Charlies" in Southlake Town Square!!!! She cheers ~ I shop, LIFE IS GOOD!
