1st Day of School ~ Look Out World, Here they Come!

My sweet angels :*( sniff. Yes the house is quiet except for daycare kiddos....but someone else gets all their smiles and hugs from 8-3. My kiss and hug mug will be on empty. Linz, my BEAUTIFUL 7th grader no longer needs mom to "walk her in".... Kaleigh my 3rd grader wont let me curl her her hair and insists on a dressing a bit "punkish". However, she could be a model for Justice for girls...but mommy and daddy are selfish and keep her all to ourselves :)

Twas The Night Before School Starts.....

Twas the night before school starts and all thru the house
The children had jitters like the game of cat and mouse...

New outfits laid out and lunches packed
They scrubbed behind their ears, their teeth, and their backs...

What do we think about 9 months of peace, quiet, no fighting, and rest?
We toast and raise our glass to us and say a prayer for the teachers who will definetley need to be blessed!!!!

***UPDATE*** ok ok...so my cousin gets mad because I find all these great old pics and post them. I promise to stop. BUT I love this picture! If you know her... then you know she has the absolute greatest sense of humor that I miss so much! It's actually a terrible of pic of ME!!!! She looks great, to me. It looks I had a few too many drinks, BUT....you can't drink there....no alcohol allowed :) I wont take it off bcuz I really do "like" the pic, but I wont hunt up anymore :( It's a sad sad day.

If it involves water, my girls hit the door running! They crack me up! This is The Saginaw Recreation Center and they have a pool with a big water slide (big to the kids that is). It's super cheap to go and I get a nice break to layout....nap....and read. When they get this age they only need you for $$$ for icecream! :( But it's ok, rest is a good thing!

I am still working on my workout / office room. I can only do a little at a time, hence the sneak peaks, Miranda! Trying to get the girls birthdays x 2 (Kaleigh 7/21 and Linz 8/27), school supplies x 2, and school clothes x 2...plus run a daycare and do all the machine shop paperwork, throw in karate 2 nites a week and cheer 2 nites a week doesn't leave me much time to decorate.

I have ordered curtains and bought shelves so as soon as I get those up I will post new pics. Oh and on top of it all, helping my friend organize her house and paint before her baby girl gets here in October!!!

K....so our 4th bedroom is now the workout room! Try moving exercise equipment up a turning staircase!!! My hubby is not happy :/ However painting stripes is totally cool! I love brown and blue together, so I decided to give it a whirl and I love it! I'm not finished yet, but here's a sneak peak....the colors make me want to go on vacation to someplace tropical.

If you ever try and do horizontal stripes, spend the extra $15 and buy a LASER LEVEL. It is a priceless tool to own if you love to decorate!
